runninglawyer88
So, I'm starting my official Whole 30 the day I return from my honeymoon (September 1st). Until then I am doing a Whole 25. I want to start getting ideas for food that will be easy to pack during the road trip from CA to NY. I am a "pescetarian" (vegetarian who eats fish)...so I am somewhat limited. This is what I've got so far... nuts, eggs, fruits (bananas, oranges, and grapefruits) for "meals" in the car fish/veggies/sweet potatoes at restaurants or salads with hard boiled eggs, roasted veggies tuna packets for easy additions to salads purchased at fast food restaurants nuts/fruits for snacks (assuming I need a snack) larabars for snacks Any other ideas? Colleen Roy
Avocados? I'd bring some hard boiled eggs to start with in the cooler. Canned salmon? Cooked shrimp?
runninglawyer88
This article has some more ideas: http://whole9life.com/2011/07/whats-in-your-cooler/ That's awesome! Olives Coconut Flakes Carrots Cherry Tomatoes Kale Chips Seaweed Freeze dried fruit (are these compliant?) Salmon pouches
GFChris
Freeze dried fruit (are these compliant?) If it's only fruit with nothing added (e.g., sugar or funky preservatives), then yes, that would work.

So, I guess I'll be stocking up on those as well. I figure that for 7-8 days I can certainly stay on track even if most of it will be spent in a car. I'm sure it will be a challenge but I have faith in myself.
