whole30 eating enough to restore leptin sensitivity?

Recommended Posts

In the book ISWF, it explains that eating according to the template will help restore Leptin (the master hormone) and therefore help with regulating blood sugar, insulin, etc. I've read that in order to restore leptin sensitivity (and lose weight), it is important to go low carb along with not snacking between meals. My question is.. is following the template low enough in carbs to achieve this, or should I avoid the fruit and starchy veggies?

Sorry that question is a little complicated!

Following the template as written will improve all your hormonal rhythms. You should eat starchy veggies as needed to support your energy and performance needs. More if you have high energy demands and less if your energy needs are low. Anyone who needs to lose weight will/can lose weight even while eating starchy carbs. Our bodies are not fragile. They know how to do well without you needing to adhere to rigid or precise eating formulas for macronutrients.
