KitchenWitch
Tomorrow is my Mother's 90th birthday. What started out as a simple dinner with family has turned into a full sized celebration. I need a compliant dessert for 25! ASAP!
GFChris
Happy birthday to your mom!Fresh fruit salad with fresh lemon juice squeezed over it comes to mind, given there's no paleo-ifying desserts on a Whole30.
missmunchie
Fruit plate? Maybe whip some coconut milk for dipping? If you've got the time and budget maybe look into a couple of Edible Arrangements fruit bouquets, they can include chocolate-dipped fruit for non-Whole30ers. Just some thoughts off the top of my head.
KitchenWitch
Thank you! I got it! Fruit prepared in every imaginable way. No one will be the wiser! It never occured to me that I'd have to entertain during the Whole30. This is going to be easier than I ever imagined. Meat and veggies BBQ and a huge salad! AmyS
This is your answer to why you did your Whole30 during fresh summer fruit season.
Boykinbaby
Grill fruit kabobs since its a bbq. Peaches and pinapple carmalise naturally under heat
Emily T
If you are already grilling, then you MUST make grilled peaces. Its peach season and your guests will be super impressed. As someone said they carmelize naturally with heat. Make sure you brush with a neutral oil before you grill. To speed up carmelization, you can add a little balsamic vinegar, and I would also add some cinnamon. If you want an impressive way to serve, top with chopped toasted pecans and whipped cream. For you, you can just use coconut milk - for your guests, maybe sweeten it with maple syrup or sugar. Also - ask a guest to bring a dessert if they want something more than fruit!
