bad breath?

I am often developing bad breath in the middle of the day or evenings. pre Whole30 that would have been most likely due to coffee. But I no longer drink it after 9am.

Now I am grossing myself out imagining meat decaying in my tummy / teeth. Should I just carry a toothbrush / floss with me throughout the day? Is this a sign of something kooky or just 'gut bacteria adjustment'?

Hm- I was going to reply asking about your water consumption because that often causes bad breath (not drinking enough) but your idea about meat and stomach contents gt me thinking so I'll let the experts weigh in. I am on day 9 and notice I had bad breath too but I believe it's a combo of not enough water and maybe an excessive amount of green peppers.

I had the same question, which presented itself around day 10, and was especially bad in the morning. I was wondering if sauerkraut could be the culprit, as I have been eating it once daily (sometimes every other). I'll have to up the water to see if that helps. I have, though, been flossing through the day more than I am accustomed to doing (all that sauerkraut and greens getting stuck!).

Yes, I think I'm eating enough sweet potato / squash.  I am more concerned about my 'non' starchy vege intake being too low. There are very few days when I don't have at least one fruit serving... and usually it's two.

It might be better to say  my mouth just 'feels gross'.  I can only assume it also is bad breath. I am trying to up my water.

I am finding myself eating about 1/2 to 1 sweet potato every day or so, usually coinciding with a more active day. This morning it was if something had died is the bed- that bad! (Sorry for the explicitness!). I will increase the sweet potato consumption if it might help!
