Grizzlykids
Wellll, the time has come for me to finally get my stupid wisdom teeth taken out.It is most likely going to be in the middle of my very first whole30.Will I have to quit in order to do this? I know that soft foods are recommended for the first few days. I have had one removed, and for about a week after I could not open my jaw enough to put a fork or spoon in.Recommendations? Moderators Tom Denham Posted August 22, 2013 Moderators Share Posted August 22, 2013 You can puree any Whole30 food and suck it through a straw if you had to, but I would just start my first Whole30 later.

Grizzlykids
I am already in to it. We are currently on day 4. The surgery is most likely going to happen with the last week
Physibeth
Doesn't hurt to keep going and then see how it goes. Personally when I had my wisdom teeth out I could eat solid foods again the next day. Your mileage may vary. Are they impacted or are they all the way in? Grizzlykids
One is cutting in now, and growing in at a funny angle. The remaining two are impacted

I thinkI would wait That sounds like the perfect reason to stay on a whole 30....eating non compliant food isn't going to make your body better! I could also eat the day after I had my wisdom teeth out. But...you could easily have soups, casserole/stews, mash and puréed vegies to stay compliant
Physibeth
I would say if you still have impacted teeth plan on some mushy food days. An immersion blender/food processor will be your best friend. Make some hearty blended soups the day before your surgery as you won't feel like making them after.
