Newbie, acne...

Hi everybody, I'm new here! I'm 20 years old and have had hormonal problems all my life but also had really bad stomach issues (bloating, GAS tmi, digestion, etc) and I'm hoping that after this 30 days I'm starting Sept. 1 will help me figure out what exactly it is that messes with my digestive system, whether it be gluten, dairy, grains or legumes. 

 

Now another thing I've suffered with all my life is acne. While I'm betting that a lot of it is hormonal, I can almost guarantee that a sloppy diet hasn't helped that much throughout the years! I've done some research already and while it seems like paleo is the way to go for acne sufferers, it still confuses me quite a bit... Supposedly I should really limit fruit? So in other words, if I'm going to want to help out my acne as well in the process I need to eliminate even more things?!?!

 

So, tell me, ladies / gents, if you have or had pretty bad acne or breakouts in the past what foods would you recommend me limiting / eliminating completely during this process? Thanks!! :)

Dairy and coffee are huge acne triggers for me, cocoa and coconut also contribute, as do oranges and tuna. I was on meds for three years for skin problems and they only gave me a 70% improvement. After my first whole30 I was able to stop the meds and have 80% better skin but my skin only cleared to 98% after I did a caffeine free whole25. Then flared again from one ice cream!
