I am visiting my aunt as a spur of the moment thing tomorrow and we are going to a county fair with world famous cream puffs!! (Insert drool here). Since I will be staying with her I plan to pack each meal, and I picked up some "nicks sticks" for emergency protein, and will bring some nuts even if I just need to keep my mouth busy I'm worried, but feel I at least have a plan. melissalovessean Posted August 30, 2013 Share Posted August 30, 2013 Hi, Mom2A&M! I started the Whole 30 two days into "Aunt Flo." I was so worried....what about those cravings???? I was actually quite surprised to not even want the foods I would flock to as soon as "she" came into town. LOL. (I am currently on Day 5). I think you have a good plan for the fair. I went to a Farmer's Market with coworkers the other day. I had eaten breakfast about two hours before we went there. I brought water with lemon and a gallon jug with me....just in case. I was quite surprised as they ate lunch. I drank my water and chatted while they downed chicken pot pie, gyros, chicken and noodles, and a huge turkey sandwich. I was perfectly fine! I know how crappy I felt eating those foods and knew that I did NOT want to go through that bloatedness, the guilt, the sluggishness, etc. You can make it through this and even with the PMS and Day 5....I believe you will stick with it and come out stronger. Mom2A&M Posted September 2, 2013 Author Share Posted September 2, 2013 I did it! Everyone around me was enjoying all the goodies of the fair and then picked up a pizza on the way home.
