DubyaWife
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on the forums and post my recap for any who are interested in reading. This was a very enlightening experience and I'm sure I may be doing it again at some point. The forums were a wealth of info and helped me get through the 30. Thanks again! jent103
Love your recap, DubyaWife. The fat-at-meals aspect was a little revelatory to me too - I had to buy lunch out today and felt NO shame about using the entire portion of dressing on my salad! And I had similar reactions to caffeine; even though I didn't set out intentionally to make mine a "Caffeine30," by the second week I didn't even miss it. I had dry lips too! And like you, I stay well hydrated most of the time. That wasn't a big deal to me (I have really good lip balm ), but I did wonder about it. I'll be curious to see if anybody has any insight there. DubyaWife
So an update. After completely the Whole 30 on August 30th. I had an appt with my specialist to go over my food intolerance test and adrenal gland fatigue test on Sept. 5th (just six days later). Turns out I have sensitivities to gluten, whey, corn, and many many other things. So now I'm back on "Whole30" but with even more restrictions. The food stuff is getting... banal. After having done Whole30 in August and then taking a break for 6 days it really is getting to be tedious. But I'm hopeful and following recommendations as I should. My next appointment is the 30th so that's about 3 weeks away. The hope is that once I have that appointment i'll be able to reintroduce the foods I'm only "mildly" sensitive and that will help give me some more variety and room to change things up. I still will have about 3-6 months before I can have gluten again (if ever). And top that all off with adrenal gland recovery. Makes for a very regimented DubyaWife. Oh well. onward.
