Dslater17
I'm on day four and getting terrible leg cramps? Is this common?
missmary
It's not UN-common. There are lots of possible reasons for this, but dehydration and/or mineral deficiency are two likely cuplrits. A few things to try: drink more plain water. Drink mineral water (like really minerally-Gerolsteiner is good) or add an approved electolyte drop to your water. Eat more potassium-rich food (banana, leafy greens, avocado, mushroom). Take a magnesium supplement. Take a bath in epsom salts. I find if I get them it helps to press really hard on the cramping spot and hold. Sorry to hear you are having them!
Photo_Mom
I'm also on day four. I've had some mild leg cramping which I think is due to having to drop my daily Magnesium pills which weren't compliant. I dropped the four days before starting my Whole30. Moderators Tom Denham Posted September 5, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 5, 2013 I used to get bad leg cramps at night, but stopped after beginning to take a potassium supplement every day. I eat lots of potassium rich food every day, but the cramps did not stop until I started the supplement.
