Mindy D
I am wanting to get green olives, no the ripe ones in a can but the pimento stuffed ones in a jar! I attached a copy of the ingredients! I have looked at tons of jars and they all pretty much have these ingredients. The approved food list says olives(all). Wasn't sure about some I the ingredients! 1morta2
Doesn't "Lactic" Acid have something to do with milk? I love green olives (garlic stuffed is my favorite) so I'm curious to see the answer to this as well.
Nadia B
Our bodies produce lactic acid too (hello sore muscles). In food industry it's used as preservative/fermentation agent. I am not a moderator, but recall this ingredient being just fine.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted September 6, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 6, 2013 Lactic acid may be fermented from milk, but it is okay as an ingredient. These olives are fine.

Bet
I was wondering about potassium sorbate. It's in the premade (unsweetened) iced tea we get from the supermarkt.
