Almost one week down

A good friend challenged me to start the Whole30 on Sept 3rd and I accepted.  I have done very well over the past 6 days and am completely amazed at the changes that are happening with me.  I didn't get my book until Sept 6th but am over half way through it now, learning and adjusting things I may have been doing wrong.  I feel like a whole new person eating this way and am completely shocked how easy it is!  I'm not saying I haven't experienced thoughts of "old" ways of eating, but so far, it hasn't been anything I can't move past fairly quickly.  On day 4, I woke up feeling smaller!  My mom saw me that day and said that I looked less puffy and bloated, and what was I doing differently?  She always sees the subtle changes in me.  I can't wait to see what this does for my seasonal allergies and of course my body composition.  I could stand to lose 20-30 lbs.  Looking forward to traveling this journey with you all!

I'm right there with ya!  To day is day 7 for me.  After a few rough days I woke up feeling pretty good today.  I was 196 at the start of this and my ideal weight is around 170, so sounds like we have similar weight goals.  The biggest change I've noticed so far is that I'm sleeping like a rock!  Awesome!

Hi Boomersmom. I am also day 7 today and have been feeling really good the past 2 days. I am enjoying the food planning and prep...maybe because I splurged and bought myself 5 new cookbooks to inspire me! I did this for 2 weeks back in June and felt so great at the 2 week point so you can expect to feel even better as you go along. I also have 20-30 lbs to lose so it looks like all 3 of us have similar weight goals, although I also have specific health goals driving me. Let's stay in touch here!
