Natascha
To be exact 28 days ago I started with juicing. Watched the movie 'Fat, sick and nearly dad' and a great live coach and so I started. Supposed to do 10 days, but I was so amazed with the energy, I decided to do another 10 days, both very successfull. The plan was and is to follow up with Whole30 to learn and adopt a new way of eating and continuation of feeling great and healthy (the weightloss I like as well..). So here I am on day 8 and I do feel very quickly tired (I sleep at least 7 hours - should bring that up to 8), eat 3 meals a day, go for a 3 mile walk with my dogs every day, I just dont feel that energized as how I felt with juicing. I do read everywhere that your body needs to adopt to this new kind of eating, but wouldt you say after 20 days of juicing my body is detox free and ready for more healty food?? Do I still get to feel energized? Would love to hear from anyone who has any experience around the same! Thank you, Natascha
Renee Lee
Hi Natascha, I'm not exactly sure what your juicing regimen consisted of previously, but in general, juices are VERY easily absorbed and very high in sugars. After 20 days of doing that to your blood sugar levels, you're back to eating real (whole) food and your body isn't used to that any more. It's not used to having to digest the food to use the stuff in it. It's not used to making the enzymes required to break down fats and protein. It's working overtime to do that stuff without the right tools, so of course you feel sluggish. This isn't really a "detox" program from that perspective, btw. It's more about fueling yourself with the healthiest and most nutrient dense food sources available. Just make sure you're eating enough food with every meal, and you should definitely come out the other end feeling good!
