little_muffin
Does anyone know of a good calcium supplement? I have been told that I am low in calcium despite eating tonnes of nuts, seeds, green leafy veg etc. It seems to be worse at certain times of the month so much so that I am absoluely exhausted & falling asleep at really daft and inappropriate times. I am also a little concerned about my daughters as they eat almost exactly what I eat and I think that their small bodies may be suffering too. Can anyone help? Moderators Tom Denham Posted September 9, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 9, 2013 The more important question may be why are you low in calcium. What is wrong that your body is not taking advantage of the adequate calcium you are giving it. I would not assume that your daughters are in the same situation unless they too have similar results on tests. And calcium supplementation is not as safe as we used to think. little_muffin
Thanks for that Tom, I have asked myself a similar question about why my body is not using the calcium I am giving it and have merely come up with; it seems to be for 3 weeks every month as I am firing on all cylinders but for that 4th week, I am low in energy & absolutely exhausted. When the Dr sent me for tests he said that calcium came back low and that is associated with exhaustion. He wanted to put me on tablets but was ok when I said that I would rather try and manage it with my diet. Aside from eating even more green leafy veg etc at certain times of the month, I'm at a loss of what to do. This is why I thought of a calcium supplement to just support my system a little
