lilangel4824
I am going to try and keep up on this log to hold myself accountable for what I eat. It's also going to serve as y journal throughout this process. I have attempted this whole30 before, and made it to day 25 before jumping off of the wagon for a glass of wine. I not only lost weight my first go around, but I also felt more energized; something I've severely lacking nowadays. So, today was day one. I didn't plan out day one all that well so my meals are lacking. I also quit smoking over the weekend so I'm having some lovely side effects of that! Breakfast: a half a cup of green tea and one crushed pineapple Lunch: a whole cucumber and some green beans Snack: a pear Dinner: a Cornish hen with a half of sweet potato I had a small headache this morning that I contributed to giving up my morning coffee. I also had a bit if a sweet tooth when I went to lie down for bed, but 3 sips of apple cider fixed that. For my own references during my journey: weight as of 9/9 7:45am- 168lbs
GFChris
Are you hungry??? Please tell me you're going grocery shopping soon. You need protein and veggies at every meal, along with a compliant fat. Snacks should be a mini-meal, including a protein and fat. Also, use the apple cider only for flavoring in cooking, not to drink.
lilangel4824
Surprisingly, I wasn't too hungry yesterday. my mondays are so busy that I don't even realize it is time to eat. I already went grocerry shopping over the weekend, I just did not prepare my Monday meals in advance. I am aware that I need the protein, fats, veggies at every meal. Again, this is my second time with the Whole30. Today was much more planned out and I ate a yummy breakfast!
lilangel4824
Day two down. My breakfast consisted of 3 scrambled eggs with sauteed onions, peppers, and mushrooms (using coconut oil) mixed in. For lunch I ate my left over cornish hen from the other night along with the other half of my sweet potato. Had no veggies with this meal as I forgot to pack them for work! For dinner I had one chicken leg quarter which I split with my 19 month old, so I had about half, along with some sauteed aspergus. My snacking demon came back last night, but I just drank some water and played on my ipad to forget about it!
lilangel4824
Day three Same 'ole same 'ole for breakfast. Sauteed shrooms, pepper, and onion with scrambled eggs. I will have to come up with something different for next week before I don't want to look at another egg again! Lunch was my leftover chicken and sauteed esperagus from the night before. Also brought carrots to work in case I got the "munchies" due to a small lunch, but nope. No munchies for this girl! For dinner I made pacific cod (which I didn't eat because I cooked it too long and it was dry :/ )and a salad, loaded with veggies, with some homemade balsamic vinagerette. To help yeild my late night snacking habit, I made a "desert" of a bowl of raspberries. I only had a few bites of that before I realised it was too sweet for me and I didn't want it! No side effects yet. Missing my morning cup up coffee, but sticking to my green tea. I am not any more tired than I normally am, but no more energy than usual either. No mood swings yet, but I don't think I had them last time either. Onto day four!
lilangel4824
Ok, so I havn't "written" in my "journal" in a few days. The weekend was tough as it always is. I have been attacked with the common cold as of Thursday, so I have been in rough shape to say the least. Thursday and Friday were still compliant though and that is good. My husband and I did go out to eat for lunch on Saturday. I knew I was doomed because I forgot to eat breakfast that morning. Again, not feeling well, I chose to lay in bed So, after looking at the menu for a good 10 minutes, I chose as healthy as I could. I chose the salad bar (and I did have a little dressing) and I went for the grilled shrimp with fresh green beans as my side. The shrimp may have had non compliant butter. BUT, for ME going out to eat, I passed on the pop, the appetizer, the horribly greasy and/or fried food, and desert. So while my train for de-railed by my salad dressing consumption, I am still darn proud of myself! I also popped a few cough drops that I had at home that I am sure had honey in them, but again, I am sick and just didn't care! So, here we are Monday. It would be day 7 in. And yes, even though I fell off the wagon, I still consider myself on day 7. I jumped on the scale this morning. I know I know, they say to "break up" with your scale. Well let me tell you, I have tried to do that SO many times and I swear it is harder than quitting smoking (which by the way I am on day 10 of!!). Anywho, per my lovely weight watchers scale, at the same time of the day I weighed myself 7 days ago, I am 3 pounds lighter. That makes me ECSTATIC! I am going to continue to work as hard as I can and If I can kick this cold, I'd like to add in an exersise routine so that I can lose more this week! Feeling great!
