Reintro Cold Feet!

Today was Day30!  I did it I did it I did it!!!  And I kind of loved it!  I sure am feeling good.  So good that I'm really afraid to re-introduce anything.  I'm super afraid that my body will just freak out, and a little apprehensive about trying foods again during the work day in case....things go bad.  Its unrealistic to think one 'off-plan' food will send me spiraling out of control, isnt it?

I'm going to continue Whole30 style for a few more days, but, this Saturday is a very special occassion and we'll be going out to dinner with dear friends we havent seen in a long time. I would like to plan to enjoy my food that night and not go super crazy to stay whole30 compliant, but I realize if I try too many new things at once a) my body really night freak out (and man do I not want to go through those headaches again) and B) i wont be able to tell specifically what my problem foods are.

I'm hoping I can enjoy Saturday with some limits and then get right back on the Whole30 bandwagon.  I think its going to take some time for me to methodically re-introduce.

Am I crazy?  :P

Congratulations on completing your Whole30!!

Your plan for the next few days and dinner with your friends sounds prudent. Perhaps go in with a plan for what you will/will not eat that evening, enjoy your choices (really taste/savor every bite) and your friends' company.  If it turns out you don't feel well the next day, eat Whole30 for whatever number of days you need to, to feel better, and then begin your official reintros.

If you feel fine after your dinner out, I might still do 2 days of Whole30 eating afterward, simply so you can start reintros with a clean slate.

I did something similar, in that my W30 ended on a Thursday and then the next day was a friend's wedding.  I decided to eat what I wanted, but not to go too crazy, since I was afraid I'd get sick.  I ended up eating a little gluten (corn bread, stuffed mushrooms) and a little cheese, and drinking some vodka lemonades, but the cake didn't seem worth it so I skipped that (guess I really did kick my sugar habit).  I didn't feel all that bad the next day, only slightly worse than usual.  Then I went into another 7 days of clean eating as recommended by someone on the forum, and I'm feeling better now.  Tomorrow I will start careful reintroduction and see how that goes.

So no, you're not crazy to want to just relax and have a good time without freaking out about what's going into your mouth.  It sounds like you have a realistic plan with some limits in mind, so I say go for it.  Good luck!
