stacimink
Hi everyone, I am new to Whole30- this is day 1! Of all the things I was excited about eating, sauerkraut is #1. I have been eating it straight out of mason jars my entire life. Unfortunately for me, all the canned stuff my grandparents bring me won't work for Whole30. I went to WF & got Bubbie's but still have one final question...how much of it should I eat!? Does it count as a vegetable? Does that mean I can fill one entire side of my plate with it? Or should I take it easy since it's more sodium filled than eating a regular ol' vegetable? Thanks!
Roz Griffiths
It's more of a condiment than a vegetable - a healthy couple of spoonsful alongside your meal should do it
KJT
I don't think there's such a thing as too much sauerkraut (at least not since my blood pressure came down and I stopped worrying about sodium). I eat it by the bowlful as my vegetable.
Susan W
I eat it by the bowlful as well. Love it. Next project is to make my own.
