Marieke
I am on a successful day 7 of Whole?(at least 30) and had nightmares last night like I used to have in times of terrible depression. Has anyone experienced this in relation to this food regime? My 'Kill All Things' was late - had it yesterday, day 6. The really tired is upon me. Everything else seems normal and predictable. The dream thing is terrifying. Hopefully not related at all but must ask. Unbearable. Obviously reluctant to fall into bed tonight...
ArcheoGator
I had a rough nightmare during my first 30, second night. I do not know if it was coincidence or not, but I haven't had a nightmare since youth. This is now my second crack at a 30, about to be day 5, and no more dreams than usual and no nightmares. melbournegirl
I had very disturbing dreams and insomnia for much of my first whole30, now I have adapted its no longer a problem.
HeatherM
I'm on Day 12. Started having nightmares on Day 11. The first one was a crazy food dream about an accidental cheat. Last night they were more disturbing and not food related. Hopefully this will pass.
jillian
this can be related to serotonin levels - things should settle down as your body adjusts. I'd suggest having a small baked sweet potato with some ghee or oil shortly before going to bed - see if this makes any difference. Try to avoid having a bit hit of "sugar bombs", like dates, dried fruit and such, late at night. You may also want to try having a little bit of starchy veg at each meal. Fenderbender
I agree with the serotonin theory... 95% of our serotonin is used in the gut for peristalsis, as your gut heals/ readjusts with w30 it will all level out Kombucha really settled my innards out fast and YUM! Marieke
Thank you all. I do love kombucha and have been having 2 servings per day (one bottle). I was looking forward to this amazing sleep everyone talked about and have been quite fitfull, so helps to know 1. not alone and 2. it will pass (hopefully). jlcouncil
I've been having nightmares (night 2 and 3). I have insomnia too but am used to that. I figure it's just my body readjusting in some way because I feel fine during the day.
sla5150
Good thread. Thanks for all the advise. After waking this morning, I told my husband about all the strange and scary dreams I've been having. I've done Whole30s before and don't remember having bad dreams like this.
