got2golf54
I am committing to start the Whole30 tomorrow. I have been Paleo for about a month but have not lost any weight. I realize that too much fruit, agave and unreasonable portions of protein plus no exercise are holding me back. So here I go!

Walker7
I did 34 days without any add-ins or weigh-ins last fall and I felt FANTASTIC. I also lost 14 lbs! I started a second W30 on Tuesday 09/09/13 but I didn't follow the rules. I ate between meals. I weighed myself THREE times. I ate too much fruit. And I was FRUSTRATED! I'm going to start over tomorrow. It will be Day 1 for me! I'll check in daily to see how all of us are doing. Btw...My name is "Walker" simply because I WALK A LOT. I have been mistaken for a guy in another forum so I thought I would tell you first thing. lol
madelineluv
I am starting tomorrow as well. I have 2 major addictions I want to kick: putting stevia in everything (from beverages to salad dressing) and caffeine. I want to kick these both to the curb not just for 30 days but for good. I did my own version of Whole 30 back in 2007 before I even knew there was something called the Paleo diet, I had been introduced to the Specific Carbohydrate Diet by a friend who suggested it might help me with my digestive problems. I lost weight without trying and all my sugar cravings disappeared. I am really looking forward to this challenge the and transformation I know will occur, within and without. Walker7
Day 1. Three meals. No snacks. No add-ins. I don't call them "cheats" just because I think that's too extreme. People "cheat" on their taxes, on tests, on their spouse, etc. So, to me, eating something that's not on the approved food list is something that will give me less than optimal results, nothing more. I weighed in this morning. I was 155.6 lbs. My goal is 135. I am planning to do this Whole30 for "as long as it takes" to get to goal. I'm tired of yoyoing the same 5-10 lbs. It is time to PROCEED TO GOAL!!! I hope all of you had a great day!
SimpleNotEasy
Hey y'all. It's good to find a few who are starting around the same time. Today is day 1 of my second Whole 30. I'm using the Whole 30 as a means toward healing from emotional eating - using food and wine to stuff my emotions. This is about healing and self-care. When I did my first Whole 30 in the spring of 2012, I experienced freedom as never before. Somehow, I've fallen back into old patterns, so I am back for more healing. I know I'm going to need other tools besides the Whole 30, but one has to eat every day, and I know this way of eating will help me in the process. I'm looking forward to keeping up with how it's going for you, as well.
Walker7
Day 2. No add-ins. No weigh-ins. I hope all of you are having success with this. I went to a big farmers' market this weekend and stocked up on lots of wonderful veggies. I'm set for the week!
