Laketon79
I haven't had any problems with gas, and yesterday and today I had sweet potato and have had gas. Nothing else in my diet has changed besides the sweet potato (normally don't eat those).
Renee Lee
Yep, it's possible. Try it again? Sweet taters aren't typically listed as a FODMAP, but my understanding is that they still have a big chunk of carbs that could be fermentable and could feed some SIBO. That doesn't necessarily mean "stop eating sweet potatoes," but I'd keep an eye on it and see if you notice any repeated offenses. But on the other hand, sometimes we just get gassy. srice11
If eat too much fruit or two many dense carb sources in a given period, I get foul-smelling gas. But it's usually more than 3 servings in a day that causes this. If I keep a tighter reign on it, I'm fine. I don't think you should stop eating them, but maybe lessen the frequency.
