day 1...again.

does anyone else feel like they just keep restarting but never get past the first week? well thats me all the way. not only do i go off, but i tend to have really large binges. i want to do this SOOO BAD. and i know my body seriously needs it! 

 

anybody else go through something similar?

I started 3 times before I got all the way through. Once I pushed through the first 8 days it got soooo much easier. I remember being on the phone to my mom crying about the fact that I thought I was pretty strong and did not understand why I could not make it through. I had quit again after only 3 days and she told me to just keep trying. I started again the day after that conversation and made it all the way through:) It is tough at first but totally worth it. Hang in there girl, have faith. I struggle with binge eating and the sugar monster which is why I'm doing this. I've only just finished day 1 but feel pretty optimistic about things. I am worried about succumbing to the binge monster. All we can do is taken it day by day, making the best food decisions we can along the way. Having this forum is super motivation too! *hugs* you can do it!

 I would say I am on my second whole30, but I also tried a lot of other methods before I got here. So, even though I am on my second attempt, it took many other attempts on other paths to get here.

 

I just finished day 8, so I am looking forward to the easier part (which things are getting easier).

 

As long as you give every day your best, you will see day 30. Get through that first week. One tip I got from an email is to log on to this forum if you are about to go off.

For my first one, I got to day 19. It's definitely hardest the first 7-8 days, especially when you come up to the weekends. Which mine normally consisted of a lot of bad eating, and some drinking with my husband or friends. When it's just me and the baby, I can just make my food and have her eat her food. But with my husband and our oldest, it was waaaaay hard. But I know after that, I didn't have urges and just instinctively said no. Day 19 came though, and we were gone from 3 pm until 4 am, and I didn't pack anything for myself. We were out with friends around the bars, and the rest is history! That's when I started over. I realized as long as I kept myself busy doing anything and everything! Visiting people at work when I could, just moving around. And it seriously was just easy to not grab something and snack.

 

You can get through this one! Just say no!! lol
