thesusan
Normally before I workout I have about 4-6 oz of almond milk with a scoop of whey protein. I could not see if whey protein is thumbs up or down (browsed the food, drink & condiment list of postings and could not find). Can someone advise if whey protein is ok, and if not, anyone have suggestions for a replacement. I have trouble working out on anything heavy and have used the whey in almond milk, or an Accellerade gel pack. Thanks!!

thesusan
Probably not ok - see it contains milk & soy. Any suggestions re pre-workout small meal?
Renee Lee
Whey is not allowed on your whole30. It's milk derived
Renee Lee
A hardboiled egg is a good pre workout snack, or any serving of fat+protein. I'll usually do a little chicken or steak + guacamole, or go the egg route
