aoncken
Hi All, I'm on Day 11 of the Whole 30 challenge and have yet to experience any of the positives but I'm holding out and determined to make it through 30 days. However, as of this week and especially this morning my appetite is GONE. I could barely choke down an egg, tomato, and 1/2 an avocado. It took me 45 min to finish breakfast. Is anyone else experiencing this?
James Murphy
Hey Aoncken, Interestingly, I have seen that it is not uncommon for those that make similar changes to that of a Whole30 to experience this phenomenon. Though I have not heard of somebody taking 45 minutes to get through 1 egg! For many that are used to eating a relatively low protein and fat diet, the new changes can send unfamiliar satiety signals that may temporarily change your feelings of hunger. It is also potentially related to a change in the circadian rhythm of appetite. There are many possible variables at play here, for instance: What have your sleeping habits looked like lately? Are you experiencing anything particularly stressful recently? What was your eating like previously, and how is it since beginning the Whole30 -- how much of what types of foods? If you want to try and figure out what's happening, I think a little more information is required.
CortneyT
I'm on Day 10. I have noticed I'm not near as hungry the last few days. I still eat! But in much smaller portions & usually a little later than I care to. Do you need variety? I can NOT eat a plain egg every single day. It would take me 45 minutes to choke it down. Changing things up has helped me.
