Do I need a protein?

Tonight I'm going to make a creamy butternut squash and apple soup. It calls for the squash, apple, onion, 1/2 cup coconut milk veggie broth, and some spices. Will this be enough for dinner or should I make a protein to go with it? And if so, any suggestions?

I used to make butternut squash soup (which to me tasted more like pumpkin pie!). I would freeze it and bring it to have for lunch each day. It seemed very filling, but I would be hungry 2-3 hours later. When I started W30, I started having more protein in my lunches and that hunger has not reappeared.

So I agree, it's great as a side. BTW, you can also sprinkle some bacon on top. It's delish!!!!
