PaleoPlease
I got blood results back. My fasting glucose is 4.2 but my AC1is 0.061 (which i think means 6.1). Can i bring these numbers down in one month with a Whole 30? Does this show prediabetes? Thanks.
ArcheoGator
I have been type 1 for 22 years now. My a1c was 10.9 (sorry, I do not know the conversion) about six weeks ago. That means that my glucose averaged 300 throughout the day. I am now on day 13 of my Whole30. My glucose has not gone higher than about 130 for a few days now, and that is post meal. I am now slowly reducing insulin. The Whole9life program has saved my life.
Laura Osborne Bozeman
The A1c is an average of your blood glucose over 6 weeks to three months of time. One month should change it, but maybe not as drastically as you would like.
Sharon Simpson Thumann
My AC1 always hovered around 6.0 but since doing a couple of Whole30's and eating paleo my last blood tests showed it down to 5.2.
Zoodles
Mine dropped from mid 7s to mid 6s after a whole30 plus a mostly compliant month or 2. I wouldn't be surprised if yours dropped. If your fasting glucose is low sounds like your post-meal levels are the problem. Whole30 is inherently lower carb and low GI so it should really help!
