Hypnopolly
Day 13. No Tiger blood for me. I almost gagged on the eggs for brekky this morning. Never been a fan of eggs, can't stand the smell. What do others have for brekky? Also, I have been primal for 18 months. Toileting= perfect. Since the whole 30 it's seriously not right. That really surprises me. At least 3 flushes to get a clean bowl. Anyone else getting this?
GFChris
Regarding the toileting, if you post 2-3 days worth of your food log, perhaps folks here can offer specific suggestions? On breakfast, I rotate through several different baked frittata and breakfast casserole recipes. Some are more prevalent on eggs than others. Some are veggie only, others include ground beef.Other folks have non-breakfast foods for breakfast: soups, chilis, meatloaf, grilled chicken, leftovers, you name it. Maybe experiment with different options and see what works best for you?
ArcheoGator
If I do not want eggs, I usually just eat leftovers. I have been getting larger cuts of meat to be sure to have leftovers, and may add leftover or fresh veg. Today, M1 was a salad with tuna salad on top; so not typical breakfast food anymore. Perhaps the toileting is from the eggs? What else have you done differently?
Tallulah Wolf-Angel
My breakfasts look a lot like my dinners I usually alternate a protein portion among canned salmon (bones included), lamb patty, or ground beef. Then I add a green veg (usually asparagus or broccoli), half a sweet potato, a serving of cold sauerkraut, and a cup of tea with coconut cream. Yum!! Moderators Tom Denham Posted September 22, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 22, 2013 I pressure cooked pork ribs with collards and chopped broccoli stems recently. I ate half for supper and half for breakfast the next morning. But I like my eggs and usually eat them at a later meal if I don't have them at breakfast. Hypnopolly
Thanks for the replies I have: eggs x3 scrambled with coconut milk and tomato and rocket. Or boiled mashed with 1/2 an avocado and a squeeze of lime or poached on rocket with tomato. Lunch is a salad (peppers, red, yellow, green, cuc, rocket, snow peas, carrot, fennel) plus whatever left over meat, such as salmon, steak, lamb etc. I have been adding some macadamia oil and a squeeze of lemon as a dressing. I also eat macadamia nuts and blueberries everyday. Dinner is some form of meat and vege, like beans, cauli, brussel sprouts or similar. I have eaten this way for 18 months. The only difference is I cut the dairy and dark choc out. I added the macadamia oil dressing in and I have had the toileting issues from day one of the whole 30. I wonder if I am not absorbing the oil? Thanks for the ideas of brekky. I think I will have to rethink. I used to eat a bowl of greek yoghurt, blueberries and macadamia nuts. I really really miss it to be honest.
Roz Griffiths
I seldom eat eggs for breakfast, i got a bit sick of them I usually have mince (ground meat, beef or lamb), that I've previously cooked with onion & garlic powder, then add a couple of veggies to that. Today it's mince, kale & some fennel mixed with pine nuts & raisins. Yesterday was mince, kale, apples & pecans with cinnamon. That same mince & apples/pecans/cinnamon mix is also good with shredded sweet potato. Eggs need not apply
Bet
I did the AIP for my first W30 and when reintroducing eggs that they cause me a lot of joint inflammation. So I no longer have them for breakfast. I've been making my own breakfast patties with ground pork, shredded sweet potato and apple. I would also add digestive enzymes. If you are adding a lot of vegetable, more than you were eating before, then it may be causing some digestive upset. If you are not digesting properly, it can result in toilet issues.
