Cindy T Posted September 22, 2013 Share Posted September 22, 2013 Read all the guides - bought all the "stuff" - wanted to be ready.....so I started my journey yesterday by making one of the slow cooker meals and left it in all night. Woke up at 1am on Day 1 - smelling food and wanting to eat!!! Blah!!! I checked the crock pot - it looked awesome and I went back to bed determined to be successful. I was one hour into my Whole 30. Got up this morning and ate a small bowl of beef and vegetables from the crock pot (not a normal breakfast I know - but the guide said I couldn't have my coffee until I ate breakfast!!). Packaged up the rest of the crock pot meals (it made four) so I would have food I could easily warm up for the next few days. Had my first ever cup of black coffee. It's not that bad really! Feel pretty good so far. Weighed myself this morning - took my waist, hips, thigh and chest measurements since I won't be able to check in for 30 days. Will be anxious to see the change! I realize I'm only a half day in but hey! Everybody has to start somewhere! I'm going to make one of the nom nom Paleo recipes later today so I have more meals to choose from this week. I don't know about anyone else but once my week starts - I have very little control over my time. I work two full time jobs which has made my food choices bad due to lack of time and planning. terryd Posted September 22, 2013 Share Posted September 22, 2013 You sound up and on fire!....That is super - I'm on day 28 - NO you are not crazy. You will be amazed at the journey you have started. The first days or week may be troublesome - but stick with it - the best is yet to come as they say. You'll think you've been chained to cooking forever - BUT once you get it together - it's a breeze. The best to you and welcome to your new life! Went back to the grocery store to find the ghee and coconut oil. Go figure...it was down those few isles I usually skip without ever looking down them!
