Crissy
I've dabbled a bit, over the past 18 months or so, with the Whole30 principals, but this time it's real. No sips, no nibbles, no tasting anything forbidden by the rules of W30. Today is day four, and it's going so well. I still have a little stomach bloating, but I picked up some digestive enzymes yesterday. Hopefully that will help. It already seems better this morning than it was on previous mornings. My teenage son keeps asking me when he can expect the Kill All The Things phase. He wants to be prepared. We'll see. Today I'm noticing a couple of good things. My headache is milder, and I am not coughing much this morning. For the past few years I spend the first 20-30 minutes of my morning coughing and wheezing. I am on Lisinopril for high blood pressure, so my doctor has supposed that it's either a side effect of that medication, or a seasonal allergy (every season). He prescribed an inhaler, but I don't like the idea of using one everyday for something as minor as a morning cough. So I cough. But not so much today! Maybe that will go away completely!
Crissy
Day five.I was missing that glass of wine while I cooked dinner last night. I had LaCroix water with a slice of lime instead. That should be an easy enough habit to change, but I was irritated about it last night. Best news? The family is loving the food! Roasted cabbage, lemon-tarragon chicken, homemade salad dressings...I guess I had been getting a little lazy in the kitchen.
