Is it normally to feel ridiculously huge the first week? I seriously feel 10 lbs heavier than when I started, my stomach pokes out where it didn't mad overall just feel super large. Is this normal?

Here was my food today:

3 hard boiled eggs

Tomatoes, spinach and avocado

Banana

Grilled chicken

Spinach and kale salad

Cucumbers, bell peppers

Dressing of lemon juice and olive oil

Handful of cashew nuts

Raspberries

Grilled pork chop with mushrooms cooked in olive oil

Baby spinach and romaine salad with tomato and cucumber

Dressing lemon juice and olive oil

My guess is that your body is adjusting to this new way of eating. It may help if you take some digestive enzymes with meals. Now Super Enzymes are compliant - and they work well. I'd start with digestive enzymes before adding or trying other digestive aides. See if the enzymes help. Time usually helps, too. Your body will likely get better at digesting all this real food as you progress through your Whole30.

In addition to what Jillian suggests, try switching out the raw vegetables to cooked vegetables for a while and see if that helps.

Also, are you staying sufficiently hydrated? Aim for drinking water, in the amount of at least half your body weight in ounces, daily.

Fermented foods may help you also: sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha.

Thank you both! I started taking digestive enzymes on day 2 (it's day 4 now) and thinks still seem ahem... backed up. So that may be causing the issues too.

Good suggestions on the cooked versus raw veggies.  I am typically accustomed to raw veggies versus cooked (prefer the taste/crunch of raw versus cooked) but will try and incorporate more cooked ones.

I'm definitely hydrated! Water is the only thing I drink outside of my black coffee in the morning.  I'll take a look at some of those fermented foods, I also read that some magnesium would help move things along too? Heard Natural Calm thrown around in the forums.  But I'll try the other two things first.
