headdress
Hello all, I am on day 18!! Until this week I have been sleeping very well. I usually sleep well, at least since starting meditation. When I started the whole30 one of the first things I noticed was a shift to 6.30am wake ups, fresh as a daisy. In the last 5 days that has changed. I felt a little light headed yesterday at about 5pm. I have been giving it some thought and wondering if perhaps I am leaving the time between meals too long. For instance 6-7hours between meals.I also think perhaps I am not eating enough fat. In the first 12 days I was cooking with duck fat or ghee. Having more coconut milk and olives. My husband is not keen on clarified butter, he think it makes him sneeze and feel a bit like he has had dairy. He has also been getting home later so we are having dinner later. Has anyone else noticed anything similar ? Am I blaming the wrong thing for my sleeping?I still get up at 6 Ish but feel a bit tired and I am half awake from about 4am. GFChris
6-7 hours is a long span between meals. The Whole30 is geared to eat every 4-5 hours. If you have 6-7 hours in between and you're hungry, EAT! Either add in another meal, or have a mini-meal including at least a protein and fat. If you don't think you're having enough fat at each meal, per the meal template http://whole9life.com/book/ISWF-Meal-Planning-Template.pdf, add more. Also be sure you're staying sufficiently hydrated. Drink water, in the amount of at least 1/2 your body weight in ounces, daily. Feel free to post 2-3 days' worth of your food log too, to get more specific feedback.
