grateful
I'm on day 29 of my second whole30. I'm noticing I'm not nearly as lean as I was at the end of my first one. My waist is thicker. I did add some things in this go-around that I think are the reason why: namely, lara bars (about 10 total), kombucha (10), sweet potato fries twice eating out (cooked in canola oil, no other additives or batter). I was also more liberal with the fats (nuts mainly) this time, too, whereas before I watched them closely. I know the fries are not in the spirit of the whole30. I think the addition of extra calories just delayed my progress, but if anyone has any insight I'd love feedback. Thank you.
grateful
Oh and many more sweet potatos this time around. Always one a day, sometimes two.
GFChris
Without seeing a food log, it's difficult to give you complete feedback. Could you post 2-3 days' worth of a sample log? In the meantime, based on what you listed above, 10 Larabars is a lot in 30 days, as they're only supposed to be eaten in emergency situations. Have other snacks, more often, that fit the meal template. Nuts may or may not be a culprit for you - they affect folks differently. When people think their nut intake is too high, they either dramatically reduce or back them out completely.

GFChris
What you're eating looks fine, as long as you're meeting the meal template in portion sizes. Didn't see any nuts? Maybe it does boil down to the things you added, assuming all else is equal (e.g., getting same hours of sleep per night, same level of stress, same level of exercise, same amount of hydration). Revived
why would kombucha be a problem?
