NMG
Hi guys, Before Chowstalker changed to Stalkerville, you guys were casting your eyes over the Whole 30 tagged section every now and then. Are you still doing this? Just wondering, as there are a few recipes in there I wouldn't "pass", so need to know if I can "trust" their W30 tag? Cheers! Robin Strathdee
Hi NMG! We sure are, but the process for removing those recipes has changed a bit so it takes a little longer than it used to for the changes to take affect. Plus, I usually take a look at it twice a week so things pop up in the meantime. Can you link to the recipes that don't make the cut? I'll make sure they get flagged. You can also flag them yourself if you know they don't make the cut. You just click on the icon shaped like an eye on the Stalkerville page, then the little flag. It will ask you why you want to flag it and you just type it in and submit. The Chowstalker team will take care of it from there

Robin Strathdee
That recipe is actually fine - the only ingredients are coconut, cashews, ghee, cocoa butter and salt.
NMG
Huh, my bad, I thought butters were out. Maybe it's just the way she talks about it.
Robin Strathdee
Nut butters are fine. Some folks avoid them because of a tendency to overeat them.
scrapstitching
I don't use butters much because I don't eat PBJ anymore:)

Moderators ShannonM816 Posted September 16, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 16, 2014 It's a recipe site, you can check it out here -- you can choose to look only at Whole30 recipes, or autoimmune, or dairy-free, or coconut-free, or other dietary restrictions. I've found some things in the Whole30 section that weren't, usually ones that include honey or other sweeteners, but I've flagged them on the site an.d they've removed them within a day or so. Marcie
Hi! Im new to the Whole30, and i saw that in the rules it says not to recreate sweets, but on the chowstalker when i search for recipes for Whole30 there are so many of those on there! Can i make these or not? Thank you for your help, i want to do this for myself and my 2 young girls, and i want to get it right!
Robin Strathdee
Hi Marcie! We stopped moderating the Chowstalker Whole30 section a while ago, but you should always compare the recipes you see there to the program guidelines. Many folks create completely off the rails food and then label it Whole30 to increase its visibility. Don't make anything that seems to be out of accordance with Whole30 guidelines
scrapstitching
I noticed a few recipes that include questionable ingredients. There are some great ideas out there, but as one who is starting a second Whole30 tomorrow, I'm looking through a microscope at those ingredients. I never knew y'all were ever moderating the recipes on Stalkerville.

cottagequeen
I'm sure it is getting almost impossible to keep tabs on all the whole30 imposters out there now. I actually ran across another whole30 website. A quick scan has me questioning it's validity. Whole30.org is the link. Just the way it is setup makes me wonder if they are trying to steal from the true Whole30.

Just the way it is setup makes me wonder if they are trying to steal from the true Whole30. I don't know the W30 imposters because I don't venture out there into FBland. There are those leading others who've not even read the book or authentic rules. They're going by word of mouth and passing it on. There will always be copycats but we have to stay in our own lane. It's better not to bring confusion into the picture. If you dance with the one who brought you, you'll be able to spot those who are doing an imaginary Whole 30. An imaginary Whole 30 with too many Indians and not enough Chiefs. There's only one Head Diesel. I can say that.
