Nuthouse86
I exercise at night, until either 8:15pm or 845pm depending on the night. Should I still have a post workout meal with it being to close to bed time (930-10pm)? Its the only time my self defense class is offered so I can't change the times. Juice06870
yes, you always want to have a post workout meal, regardless of what time you are working out. If you are going to beat the hell out of your body and muscles, you need to always ensure you are properly fueling them before AND after your workout. The nutrition aspect is as important as the workout itself. Your body will need the nutrients and because you just worked out, everything will be absorbed and processed to feed your muscles and body. So it's not like the food will just sit there after you eat it.
Fenderbender
If you were doing heavy duty weights, intense meta cons,endurance.... I would say definatly. Self defense class..... I'd say see how you do without. If you feel fine and have energy, then your ok....if your fatigued and not recovering then add in a post meal.... Listen to your body, that's the best guide
