Sounds like OP would do well to read It Starts With Food.. there's a lot of misconceptions that we've been taught about a calorie is a calorie and that you need to restrict calories to see weight loss. Lots of newer (and not sugar lobby subsidized) research is coming out showing sugar is the culprit and types of calories do matter. I'm eating WAY more than before (and not exercising more than an occasional walk) and I can see I've lost at least a couple lbs (haven't weighed and am only on day 12). If I was convinced before that sugar is the problem, I definitely am now.
