trezkholl0806
What are everyone's thoughts on cashew cream? I don't know much about it, but saw it in a recipe and thought I'd ask... I know it's used for desserts a lot of times, so obviously I'm not talking about that... but didn't know if there was another use for it?
pjena
I've never tried it, either, but I suppose you could add a dollup to squash soup instead of yogurt or to chili instead of sour cream if you want something cool and creamy to offset a spicy dish. Greek to me
Have had it. Prefer fresh ground almond butter, but that's just a personal choice/texture preference. I'd prefer squash soup with some cashews on top. Or cashew soup. Now that is awesome

amberino21
for savoury dishes, I prefer "sour" coconut cream - fresh coconut meat blended with lemon, garlic powder etc. I've used it on chilli with guac and salsa, and with some cucumber mixed in to have with curries. you can, of course make sweet versions, but they aren't really in the spirit of the whole 30. too many nuts can be hard to digest, and I find cashew "cream" heavy - the coconut version is a lot lighter.
