Reading All The Things! (Board Jargon)

I'm finding a moderate hill of jargon around the boards here.  That's expected in any community, but translating abreviations ("BP coffee," "MDA," etc) is leading me through to a wide range of resources...some that I'm re-visiting and others that are new.

Any comprehensive list of reading that someone has put together?  ...a large list of Friends of Whole9, maybe?

I'm half into the Hartwig's book.  Over the years, I've enjoyed many others from Atkins, Eades (the original legume argument imo), Sears, Formby, Cordain, Ferriss, Wolf, and even some of the vegetarian authors.

Let me know.

I haven't seen one, maybe we can start one here?

One thing I particularly would like are the different formats of other info, some websites don't mention their podcasts, etc.

BP coffee = BulletProof coffee from the BulletProof Executive website.

Whole30 Tip: Can be made with butter (save that for your post-Whole30) or coconut oil (Whole30 compliant).

Podcast: Yes

MDA = not a meth amphetamine, but MarksDailyApple (Mark Sisson - Primal Blueprint author)

Whole30 Tip: Primal includes dairy, so check MDA recipes carefully when doing your Whole30.

General Tip: Mark's site has great summaries on ingredients and rating things by good, better, best. Excellent Omega 3/6 profiles of ingredients.

Podcast: Mark speaks on other people's podcasts a lot, do a search and you'll find plenty of guest appearances.

Thanks.  I am looking a lot more at MDA now.  Great reference.

Bulletproof executive was just a little too bulletproof for me currently, as far as discipline in the diet ;)  I'm interested in butter/coconut coffee.  Trying it out tomorrow.

For acronyms, there was this thread: http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/6602-acronyms/?hl=acronym -- not a very long list, but maybe helpful for newbies.

Perhaps you should ask Robin to add the BP Coffee and MDA to her list, and see if she could pin it so it would be at the top of the Resources section, so newbies could find it more easily.

Twomore - Great find!

Chad - the blended coffee requires a blender for best effect, a cheapie immersion blender is what I use, comes out nice and frothy. I had been just stirring the coconut oil in, to begin with (I didn't realise it made a difference blending it).

Yeah, I tried it today with a stick blender.  It's ok.  There are certainly worse ways to have your coffee ;)  However, after Whole30, there will be full fat cream in my coffee again!  Nothing really replacese that :D  Lactose was never really a problem for me...beer and nachos, on the other hand? :-/
