Luo Han Guo

I finished my whole 30 at the end of last month, but I ran across an ingredient today I can't seem to find much about how its processed so I'm not sure if it falls under the artificial sweetener category. Its Luo Han Guo (apparently made from Monk Fruit), its an ingredient in my tea and all I can find is that is super super sweet, so I'm wondering if it counts as artificial and I should avoid it. Thanks.

The Whole30 advises avoiding all added sweeteners, natural or artificial. Allowance is made for making limited use of fruit juice as a sweetener in cooking. Once you get away from living with sweeteners, you find plenty of sweetness in regular food.

The Wikipedia article that comes up for Luo Han Guo - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siraitia_grosvenorii - describes drying Monk fruit and then treating it with solvents to remove unwanted flavors or smells. That makes this no more natural than stevia. (Stevia is highly processed to create the additive that people get so excited about).
