cheer
I bought fall & cinnamon vanilla teas. Ingredients looked good other than "natural flavors". They are both tasty but I'm pretty sure there is some sweetener in them. Could that be when it's not listed & says 0 sugar? Sigh-pretty sure I know the answer... GFChris
If there is a sweetener in there, it would be listed in the ingredients list. 'Natural flavors' in tea are ok. Besides that, what else is in the ingredients list?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted November 18, 2013 Moderators Share Posted November 18, 2013 If the ingredients do not include sugar, honey, stevia, etc, you are okay. Just because an herbal tea tastes sweet does not mean it is off-plan.
cheer
Cinnamon, ginger, hibiscus, natural cinnamon & apple flavor switch other natural favors, chamomile, roasted chicory, orange peel. Black tea, natural vanilla with other natural flavors, cinnamon. I've noticed at some of the loose tea shops they include sugar but it's listed. I'm pretty curious what the heck is meant by natural flavors. I've tried googling to no avail.
GFChris
From a Whole30 perspective, you're fine. If you want to try to uncover what's in those natural flavors, your best bet is to email Trader Joe's.
