sheisaclerk
It sure tastes like it. And if I am replacing my creamy, starch with a creamy starch-tasting veggie, am I really breaking that habit? Eating it anyway. Tonight at least and the rest of my planned leftover meals. But I'd love to hear your thoughts.
GFChris
No, it's not SWYPO. http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/12141-cauliflower-mashedriced-swypo/ Enjoy.
Susan W
SWYPO is very personal. I had to think long and hard about mashed cauli. I came to the conclusion that for me, it is SWYPO. Basically a vehicle for lots of ghee and coconut milk. Cauli rice does not have the same effect.
Robin Strathdee
I don't feel like it is, even if it does replace mashed potatoes for you. Here's my opinion of why: it's cauliflower. It's a veggie, it's great for you, and we really don't limit the amount of veggies you can eat in one meal. We're not gonna look at you and say, "you should really be careful with your cauli consumption." Other SWYPO foods are different. Most contain a variety of ingredients like fruit and nuts that we ask you to watch your consumption of already.
Jenn B
Just curious about this SWYPO. I discovered homemade kale chips (far less expensive and tastier than bought kale chips). If I cook up an entire pre cut bag (purchased from Trader Joes) massage olive oil in, and lightly sprinkle fresh ground garlic salt, I could eat eat the entire cooked contents. I have limited myself to half the contents because I feel like I am cheating and don't want to create a bad habit; it satisfies the crunchy/crispy, oily and salty craving I occassionally have. I am only eating them with a meal, but I eat them like I would McDonalds french fries!
Robin Strathdee
Jenn - I'm honestly not going to tell you you're eating too much kale, especially with your meals But DO beware your habits and if you find yourself making and eating gobs of them as snack food then put the squash on it. OMG Robin, at first I thought you were suggesting she put squash (the vegetable) on top of her kale chips...and I was like "yeah, variety of vegetables, cool"...but now I get it. doh.
