Burnj
Hi, my husband does all the beachbody workouts and has convinced me to do p90x3 with him starting Monday. We are also starting the whole30 on Monday. He will follow whatever nutrition plan as long as I organize it for him. What I'm most worried about is his pre and post workout norms. He is going to fight me on these big time so I need to have a really good plan for what he can eat/drink. He does this pre http://www.beachbody.com/product/supplements/best_sellers/energy-endurance-preworkout-formula-drink.do I was thinking full glass water at wake to hydrate, half cup coffee and half Lara bar to replace this. He does this post workout http://www.shakeology.com/shake-flavors#chocolate-vegan I was thinking just having him finish the Lara bar and then I will get a good breakfast plan organized so we can eat soon after workout. I'm still trying to figure out the best breakfast combo. We will be waking at 5a and I am not a morning person and have 2 young kids who will wake me at least once a night so I need to be SUPER organized. Any help or suggestions are so very appreciated. Moderators Tom Denham Posted December 31, 2013 Moderators Share Posted December 31, 2013 I think you need to be focused on what YOU are going to eat pre-workout and post-workout, not HIM. If he wants to eat and drink supplements instead of eat real food, let him. Your example is a more powerful motivator than your arguments that he should do a Whole30 with you. The meal template explains when to eat and how much: http://whole9life.com/book/ISWF-Meal-Planning-Template.pdf My favorite pre-workout food is one or two boiled eggs. My favorite post-workout food is a can of tuna packed in water and a baked sweet potato. I drink three glasses of water when I wake in the morning. Two standing at the kitchen sink and the third sitting at my desk starting the day before I eat breakfast. My urologist thinks I drink too much water, but he is a young man trapped by conventional thinking.
Burnj
Thanks for the reminder and very good point! I will just focus on me, make double and if he wants it, he can eat it, if he doesn't, it will be mind for the next time. I will definitely stock up on eggs, tuna and sweet potatoes. Thank you!
