Whelp...Day 1 has started off pretty well.

My goals for this W30

- ditch the eating of crud when feeling emotional

- be "in control" of my eating

- slay the sugar dragon

- rid myself of achey joints

- increase my strength

- increase my breath

- better my sleep

- feel better in my body

Day 1 Food:

Meal 1

- 3 eggs scrambled in bacon fat

- blackberries

- baby carrots

Meal 2

Ended up with an invite to my parents for lunch with my kiddos. Was able to eat technically compliant but more eggs and less veggies today than I would have liked. Passed on the traditional lefse and didn't really miss it.

- scramble with onions and tomatoes

- grapes

Meal 3

- pork loin from Practical Paleo

- salad the balsamic vinegrette

- roasted cauliflower (with lemon/pepper infused olive oil and garlic powder)

I seem to have come down with a decent cold which is negatively impacting my appetite. I only managed 2 meals yesterday...though both were delicious and filled me up.

I'm also so excited because my copy of Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans arrived in the mail. Yay!

Day 2 (1/2/2014)

Meal 1

- 3 scrambled eggs cooked in bacon fat

- baby carrots

- blackberries

Meal 2

- zoodles with meatballs and "creamy" tomato sauce: http://www.pudgytopaleo.com/2013/10/zoodle-obsession-my-tips-and-tricks.html

- salad with balsamic vinaigrette

- small banana with almond butter

I've had homemade pesto chicken cooking in the slow cooker all day. The house smells so good. Looking forward to dinner!

8 chicken thighs placed in bottom of slow cooker

3/4 c of any compliant homemade or store bought pesto

1/2 c compliant chicken broth

Italian spices to taste

Cook on low for 7-8 hours
