Cici
I made some mayo today in preparation of making chicken salad tomorrow. Is relish compliant? I like to add it to my chicken salad. Cici
justmary
Most relish is sweetened somehow. Maybe you could find a natural dill relish that has no sugar added? I think you'd probably have to look really carefully at the ingredients list. Or maybe make your own pickle relish?
Vian
sweet relish absolutely has sugar in it, but I've found dill pickles without sugar, so I'm sure you could probably find pickle relish without it. Or you could just finely dice up some dill pickles and add them in. If you like the sweetness of the sweet relish, you might like this recipe I use for chicken salad: 2 cups diced or shredded chicken meat 2 cups diced celery 1 semi-sweet crisp apple (I like fuji or honeycrisp) diced 1/2 cup golden raisins 1/2 cup chopped pecans Home made mayo (I just add mayo until it looks "dressed" enough, then add salt, pepper, and lemon juice if it needs it)
