Juice06870
Are boneless chicken thighs lean enough to be consumed post workout? I normally bake a bunch of chicken breast, but lately I have been mixing in the organic boneless thighs from costco. They are a bit cheaper and they tend to not be a dry when reheated, or eaten cold. The thighs I buy state on the package that they are 4% fat. I'll typically have between 7-8+ oz chicken and some sweet potatoes after a workout. Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 6, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 6, 2014 Thighs would digest a little slower than breasts because of their including more intramuscular fat, but skinless thighs would not be bad.
Juice06870
Ok thanks Tom. I'll move back to the breasts Post WO and save the thighs for other meals...
Juice06870
Tom, when I bake my chicken breast, i normally brush it in Ghee (sometimes some olive oil)...i doubt this would be a problem when i eat it post workout, but I was wondering what your thoughts were (it's got to be tough to cook chicken in an edible way without some kind of fat)
