Rlowe
Two days a week I am finding that I am not able to get my dinner in due to my work schedule. I typically eat dinner between 1800-1900 hours and then in bed by 2200 hours. Here is the issue on my really long days I find I can't get dinner until 2030 - 2100 when I am driving home and then bed by 2230. It seems like not enough time between dinner and bed for a normal soze dinner. I have been just eating some nuts and an apple but not sure if this is enough. I also am eating on the road, so I need portable options that I can eat while driving. To compound the issue I really not hungry so I am basically forcing myself to eat. Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 10, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 10, 2014 Nuts and an apple don't quality as a snack, let alone a meal in the context of a Whole30. You need at least three meals with protein, fat, and veggies. It is best to allow at least 2 hours after a meal before sleeping, but I have gone to bed almost immediately after eating a big meal many times. Of course, for me, I will wake up hungry in 3-4 hours if I don't eat enough before going to bed. If I wake up after 3-4 hours because the meal is causing some disturbance in my sleep, I am no worse off. My own pattern is to try to eat big at breakfast, big at lunch, and to allow some variability at supper. Sometimes I eat big, but sometimes less. I don't recommend eating while you drive if you can help it. I think it would be better to eat closer to bedtime than to eat in the car.
