Tina R
Hello, This is my first day on the program. yay!! As I cleaned out my cabinets and refrigerator, I would love to know whether the following items are on the 30 day plan: Mrs. Dash - lemon pepper and original Wegman's GF low sodium vegetable juice Smoked salmon Thank you so much for your time, M Welcome to the party! There is a forum "The Official Can I Have" with most of the frequently asked questions. Also if you search their website for Can I Have you should find an article that is helpful. If any of the above have non compliant ingredients then the answer no. For example do they have any sweeteners added? not just sugar but honey, maple, stevia Any Soy? sometimes fish products have added soy. Any gluten or grains or natural flavoring? sometimes gluten is in the natural flavoring. You will be reading a lot of labels for your whole30. Here are some other tips - you will probably have to make everything yourself and not rely on any packaged food. Your own mayo, ketchup, chicken broth. Check out the blogs "The Clothes Make The Girl" and "Nom Nom Paleo" for some great recipes. They both have cookbooks you can buy. The Clothes Make The Girl has great tips on doing a weekly cook up so you have stuff prepped on one day that you can eat for the whole week. GFChris
In addtion to Tina's wise advise, juices are discouraged on a Whole30. The idea is to chew your food vs. drink it, as chewing is more satiating.
bookluvingbabe
I sometimes add tomato/vegetable juices to the slow cooker to add more flavor than water if I'm running low on bone broth.
GFChris
I sometimes add tomato/vegetable juices to the slow cooker to add more flavor than water if I'm running low on bone broth. Adding as a flavoring in limited quantities in cooking is fine. Drinking them as a beverage is not.
