CharDoll
I completed my w30 last July, and have stayed 95-100% paleo/whole9 since. Today I took.two breath mints (sorbitol, natural/artificial flavoring, yellow 5 etc) and.I feel nauseous and.sick to.my stomach. My food was all.regular paleo food. Could I feel nauseous just from 2 tiny mints? I have only had honey, maple syrup and, coconut sugar as sweeteners postw30. Nothing artificial. Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 14, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 14, 2014 Few people would have a physical-physical reaction to two breath mints, but your mind is powerful enough to make you feel sick. I hear enough fear of food additives from many people around the forum to believe that they can feel awful when they know what they are eating. I can do it to myself too. The mind is powerful. CharDoll
It was either the mints or too much broccoli slaw. It passed after I some homemade bone broth, veggiefilled chicken soup!
anzadel
Sorbitol and maltitol tear up my insides something fierce!!!! I don't know about just two mints, but even a half a chocolate bar sweetened with sugar alcohols will have me running to the bathroom. Xylitol isn't as bad, but I still stay away from that whole class of foods!!!
