IanB
One of my biggest grumbles with this wholefoods and no junk way of eating has been the lack of sauces. I like my sauce! Chutneys, pickles, jellies, glazes, relishes, dressings, dips and, of course, and perhaps most of all – gravy! I wanted paleo gravy. And today I discovered how to make it - it was rather good! StephKSwain
I'll have to try that one! I also love this recipe by NomNomPaleo. http://nomnompaleo.com/post/1634346420/easy-paleo-herb-gravy-recipe It's not exactly gravy, but it does the trick. (She uses butter in this recipe, but I've used pan drippings from a roast chicken.)
Sarah T
I'm a sauces girl too, and I've learned to make many of my own. Favorite is strawberries boiled down and then reduced with a good balsamic vinegar. A little goes a long way. I put it on hamburgers.

I need to find something to make Thai sauces 'sweetish'...I LOVE Thai basil chicken or shrimp, but the sauce really needs that sweet aspect to make it taste right...the strawberry / balsamic idea might just do the trick. Semolina
Horray! Will try this. Have been making gravy with flour in it for hubby ... and am jealous of his lashings of gravy with our roast. Might try this and sneak him into paleo eating.

kirkor
Well, you can't have a discussion about Whole30 sauce without talking about Melissa Joulwan's Sunshine Sauce and chimichurri sauce!

Moderators ShannonM816 Posted February 28, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 28, 2016 You link doesn't work. I think it was supposed to be this one: http://freerangepaleo.com/the-30-day-paleo-detox-challenge-day-18/ Not 100% sure, but it's a compliant gravy from that site.
