RiverSong
I use a lysterine knockoff. I have some gum issues (going grain free helped a lot of things but not this!) and use mouthwash daily but it just occurred to me it might not be ok for the Whole30. Is it a big deal? And if so, any suggestions on what to use?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted July 28, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 28, 2012 Even though you might absorb tiny amounts of ingredients through a mouthwash that are unwelcome during a Whole30, the program does not extend to mouthwash. Just don't drink it.
Adagio
I know that this sounds simplistic, but salt water really is just as effective. I use Tea Tree Therapy mouthwash for a fresh breath. I have had periodontal issues for many years. Since going Primal they have improved. With Whole30, they've gotten better. I use Perio Protect as well. It actually works. http://www.perioprotect.com/
RiverSong
I replied to this but must have done something wrong because it's not here! Doh! anyway, thanks! I will try salt water but if it doesn't work for me then I'll just go back to the mouthwash and not worry about it. Thanks
