How much cheese--treat it like a fat or a protein?

I've done a Whole40 (I experienced no changes physically, other than truly the worst PMS of my life) and ready for reintro.


I am starting with goat milk and goat cheese, but not sure how much cheese to use at a meal. A palm-size amount seems like an awful lot; should it be treated like a fat instead of a protein? Pre-Whole30/40, I often had a big veg salad with goat cheese for a meal, but the amount I used was somewhere in between a thumb and a palm.


I searched the book for this, and the link to the vegetarian shopping list is not working. I have already bought the milk and cheese so hoping to give this a go today.
