michael las
Hello, I know that anything grain-fed isn't recommended (right?), so I'll avoid grain-fed veal. What about milk-fed veal? Is that a no-no? Thanks
Moderators Tom Denham Posted February 17, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 17, 2014 There are NO recommendations to avoid grain-fed meats or milk-fed veal. We recommend grass-fed meats, but there is nothing at all wrong with eating animals that have been fed things that are not allowed to humans during a Whole30. Robin Strathdee
Hi Michael! We think that appropriately fed and raised animals are the healthiest choice for you during your Whole30. However, we understand that there are circumstances that preclude folks from consuming only those meats. If you are choosing conventionally raised meats, be sure to choose lean cuts and drain or trim any visible fat.
