kwantum
The label reads (per 10g) : fat energy 45cal - total fat 5g (8%VD) - sat. fat 2g(10%VD) - total carb 3g (1%VD) - protein
GFChris
Looks like this contains sugar, per this website: http://www.therawchocolateshop.com/detail.asp?prodID=24 As a result, this is not acceptable on a Whole30.
kwantum
GFChris, It's the 100% cacao tablet. The ingredient list reads 0% sugar though. What do you think?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted February 17, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 17, 2014 What matters is the ingredient list on the item. It it reads like this one from the internet: Ingredients: Cacao beans (dairy and soy free , may contain traces of nuts) Then you can eat it. If it reads like the one from the item Chris noted, not even close. During a Whole30, the macronutrient breakdown is irrelevant. It is all about the ingredient list. kwantum
Thanks, Tom. I was hoping for an answer like this one.
Robin Strathdee
Clarification - if there is any sugar in the ingredients list at all then it's out. Also, we really wouldn't recommend eating this as a "treat" during your Whole30.
